Emily attended the EBRD Transition Report Launch

Emily attended the EBRD Transition Report launch at the new EBRD HQ in Canary Wharf, London.

Emily was the first U.S. Director on the Board of the EBRD when it was created in 1991.

She has remained active in the alumni affairs of the institution and welcomed the opportunity to have lunch with Charlotte Ruhe who runs a major division of the EBRD and was an Assistant in the US Director’s office when Emily was there.

She also attended the launch of the Transition Report entitled “Business Unusual” with a cover photo of a wheat field and a tank. None of this would have happened when Emily was there although the coup that led to Boris Yeltsin’s entrance to the former Soviet Union occurred on her watch.  Interesting discussing with remarks from the current President of the EBRD.
