Emily in San Francisco — Digital Assets Conference
Emily attended Digital Assets Week California in San Francisco in May 2023.
The basic view running through the conference attended by a stellar crowd of Financial Institution representatives was that “tokenization” of real-world assets is growing, starting with the private markets, and will continue to grow until all relevant assets where benefit can be derived are tokenized.
Significant up-tick (from a year ago) in traditional financial institutions participation as well as in the number of fintech firms who are servicing them. It was clear to me that the crypto community has demonstrated the benefits of blockchain which has spurred large corporations to use the tech to upgrade their manual and/or multiple system back offices. And they all have teams of people working on this transformation. 2023 is a deep infrastructure year where most of the traditional institutions are building out their technology.
